Stainless Steel IBC tanks are premium intermediate bulk containers built for handling, distribution, and storage applications that require or benefit from the reusability, strength, material compatibility, and hygiene characteristics of stainless steel. They are used to deliver, distribute, and hold various cargo commodities from liquids to granulated solids in many uses across industries, market and commerce sectors, and material applications.
The stainless steel IBC tank offers the longest service life, greatest durability, and volume capacity range of all intermediate bulk containers while providing the cleanliness and versatility of stainless steel metal. Stainless steel IBCs have the best reusability for multi-material storage, transport, and handling with superior service life and minimal maintenance. The container’s material and engineering allows them to be easily washed, cleaned, inspected, and certified for reuse over years of service.
The stainless steel IBC is used in agriculture, food and beverage manufacturing and processing, construction, for paints, coatings and dyes, in petrochemical oil, gas and fuel applications, refineries and offshore platforms, pharmaceutical, healthcare, cosmetics, automotive and vehicle maintenance, and more. Stainless steel IBC tanks are used to handle chemicals, acids, caustics, solvents, organics, cleaning agents, aviation fuel, motor vehicle fuel, food and beverage ingredients, dyes, additives, flavors, paints, coatings, lubricants, greases, drilling fluids, chemicals, recovery fluids, products, and more.

LiquiTote stainless steel IBC tanks are fully constructed from 10 gauge thick 304 grade stainless steel metal. LiquiTote stainless steel IBC tanks feature a unique, side or center drain, one-piece stamped, angled sloped bottoms engineered to promote complete drainage. LiquiTote stainless steel IBC tanks are stackable up to 3 high depending on total weight, application, and overall stability.
LiquiTote stainless steel IBCs are available in volume storage capacity ranging from 120 gallon to 793 gallon volume storage capacity and are UN/DOT approved. The tanks are robotically welded from premium quality 10 gauge, 2B-304 stainless steel metal and finished with an electro-chemical cleaning process. Stainless steel IBC tanks are suitable for many common chemicals, liquids, solvents, consumables, and materials frequently transported and handled across modern industry sectors.
Stainless steel IBCs are Title 49 CFR compliant, UN/DOT 31A labeled, and IMDG certified containers approved for the transit of non-hazardous and hazardous Packing Group II and III materials by highway, rail, and sea in maritime vessels. Stainless steel IBC tanks can be used with Class I flammable materials, Class II and III combustibles, and high temperatures above 140°F.
Features
Stainless steel IBCs feature a 22 5/16″ diameter manway with detachable drum cover, EPDM gasket standard, and bolted clamp ring. The extra-large manway improves internal container access for filling, cleaning, mixing, and batch applications. Lids feature vent fittings available in 3″ fusible vents to match cargo and work scenarios. Tank head includes a flush-mounted 2″ replaceable bung fitting.
Standard drain valve is a 2″ 316 SS ball valve. Discharge drain valves are available in two configurations and include side discharge, and true center discharge valve arrangements to suit different connection requirements and work setups. LiquiTote stainless steel IBCs include a one-piece valve guard on side drain tanks to protect the drain valve from damage.
Inner tote container corners are rounded with a 2″ sweep radius. The IBCs feature an integrated top lift package with 1/4″ combination lifting lugs for hoisting equipment and vehicle lift. The top lift package doubles as corner guards for additional security when stacking.
Various customization options and accessories are available. This stainless steel IBC tank is manufactured in the USA by Snyder Industries® under the LiquiTote™ brand name.
